Klingy drunks and religious zealots.....

So we are just home from a Friday night adventure. We went in search of Red Mango a frozen yogurt franchise that I have read good things about on lots of blogs. We found a close one by searching on Google Maps and even got directions from google on how to take the bus there. So despite the late hour (8pm) we decided to go out on an adventure.

Oh well- it didn't turn out as planned. The bus ride was great and we got to see more of our local area including what looks to be a coop and some possible outdoor markets. But when we got to our destination it seemed that the Red Mango was actually inside a Lotte Department Store that was closed. It was raining so we went to get back on the bus and get some gelato instead at a place close to home.

As we crossed the street a drunk guy started bugging Netta. She definitely felt his weird vibe and hid behind me but as drunks have a hard time reading these sort of cues he wouldn't let up. The he accosted John and tried to bug Olive and I (Olive was on my back). After being told many times he finally left. John had to get quite insistent. Yuck!

Netta was weirded out by the whole thing and it led to a discussion about intuition and drunks and boundaries and all the stuff....

Then we finally got on the bus and got off close to home and were walking to the gelato place when some ladies stopped us and oogled over Olive and asked where we were from. Then they told us they were from the church and it went on from there.

We have actually had 3 pairs of ladies come knocking on our door at home and it is hard to get rid of them. We tell them we don't believe in god and they still try to "save" us. Today I had to just walk away from the door and then finally they took the hint and left.

So then we got our gelato and came home - the kids are finally in bed --aaahhh.
