Hi Friends,
This is the view from our apartment window when we finally arrived here at 9pm Seoul time.
5 am California time.

The travel was mostly very smooth. A few squeals of delight from Olive that might have been too loud for other passengers but mostly Olive ate and slept. She even slept through landing and was picked up asleep and carried asleep to baggage claim. If we had managed to collect our stroller at the gate as planned she probably would have remained asleep, but as for glitches that was a minor one.
Netta mostly watched movies and ate but did manage to catch a few hours of sleep as well.
John and I catnapped as best as we could.
We were greeted by Joe (a friend of my parents) and he and his friend drove us and our luggage to our studio. I took some pictures of the space and will post them here. It is bigger than I had anticipated and the bed fits Netta and Olive and I. John is on the floor for now.

Jet lag has set in and Olive was awake at 4 am. So we all had an early start this morning. We went to the park across the street and the kids played then we went to the Seoul Global Center to find out about some things and use their internet. We could not get online here this morning but it is working now so here I am.
Olive had an early morning sleep but Netta is finding it hard to sleep during the day despite her exhaustion.
Well maybe that is it for the update right now as Olive keeps trying to type for me and I still want to load the pictures.

Our luggage all here safe and sound.

Our new kitchen - wow and I used to complain about my old one.

The clothes washer is in the kitchen and it works as a washer and dryer which is pretty cool I think.

Hi Friends,
Well we had our big farewell fiesta today. It was so great to see all of the people that make our lives so rich here. It also makes it hard to leave them. Harder than I imagined it might be.

So tomorrow is packing and laundry and trying to finish everything. I'm so glad to have taken today off and spent it with friends but back to the grindstone with the sands of time ticking away.

Thank you to everyone who made it out today - it was a joy to see you all.

Hi -- just testing to see how this all works. We are not in Seoul yet but are just days away from our big adventure.

We just got back from a lovely week at Silver Lake and have discovered that we have way too much to do in just 3 days.

Oh well - what needs to get done will somehow get done - it always does.

Here is looking forward to many more informative and exciting posts.
