Bundang

Hi all you folks - so I am way behind on posts. These pictures are from well over a week ago when we traveled to Bundang to have dinner with our landlords. We told them our departure date and they invited us to come to their home area and have dinner with them. They are so sweet. We arrived and they took us to this amazing park - really beautiful and fun to walk together. They don't speak much English but their son was along who graduated from Harvard so his English is very good. But still mostly we walked and laughed at Olive while John and Netta stayed way ahead of the group. Olive was pushing her stroller in a crazy way and then just laughing her head off about it. Thankfully nobody was hurt in the process and we all had a good laugh.
This is the large lake that we walked by.
Olive stopping to smell the flowers.
Family photo with me holding onto Olive as she tries to escape.
I don't know what these are except maybe a way to lounge comfortably against a tree.
There were lots of beautiful irises.
Netta in the field of flowers.
John and Netta on the exercise equipment - you can see who is doing the exercising and who is doing the supervising/lounging.
Olive on the go. It is getting really hard to snap photos of this girl - she likes to run away the minute the camera emerges - it is a funny game to her.
Netta in a tree.
But if Netta does something Olive wants to do it too - so here she is standing still and posing with the tree.
Netta's hairstyle for the evening out.
Some burial mounds in the park.

After our walk we went to a really delicious meat restaurant and had bulgogi. I think it was the best bulgogi I have eaten during our year here. The girls ate very well too. Then we headed back to their apartment and had some fruit with them. Mr. Landlord works for the Korean currency mint and they gave us a very beautiful silver coin as a keepsake of our year. They really are unbelievably kind and generous people. We will miss them very much. We were so lucky to have such people in our lives here.
